Respiratory Care

Basic search tips and strategies for respiratory care students

Introduction to UpToDate

UpToDate access works differently than the other research we offer through Dugan Library. You will notice this the first time that you click on the link. This database will require you to register as a user to get the full benefits of the resource. The username and password that you use for this resource is entirely up to you. Dugan Library cannot see or access your individual account. Be sure to use an email address that you check on a regular basis in case you forget your login information.

One huge benefit of having UpToDate registration is the ability to download the app on your phone, tablet or other mobile device. Once you create your individual account, you can download the app, login and away you can go with your searching.

One of the other benefits after registration is that when you access the link from any of our webpages and login to the campus network, you will be automatically signed in to your account. As long as you access the resource at least once every 90 days, your registration will remain active.

Registering for an UpToDate Account through Dugan Library

This video shows you how to access and use the UpToDate links from the LibGuides.

You must use a campus computer for your initial registration. After you have registered, you can access this service from anywhere.
