Wichita has so many great places to eat, we can only mention a few here on the guide. We'd love to tell you all about the absolutely yummy places we like to eat. We are definitely a restaurant city with a selection of eateries as diverse as our population!
This is the French Toast Trio at Doo-Dah Diner. My personal favorite is the Chicken and Waffle, but everything I've eaten here is tasty. This is the restaurant I always take out of town guests! Actor Harrison Ford always stops in here for a meal when he's in town for maintenance on his airplane. Breakfast and Lunch only. - Jeanette

HomeGrown is another local favorite. Serving breakfast and lunch, their menu is focused on locally sourced and organically grown foods. Coffee and breakfast cocktails are on the menu here. A great weekend brunch spot, it is a good thing there are multiple locations. It's very popular! - Jeanette
Yum! Old-Fashioned burgers, fries, onion rings and shakes! You'll have a bit of a wait here, but it is worth the time. We all love this place! -Jeanette, Steve & Dyana
This is a very popular local favorite. Not to be confused with the restauant, Saigon, located a block or two away.
One of my favorites, a Wichita original. Homemade root beer, chili dogs and curly fries. We'd go here after church for lunch growing up. - Jeanette
Fresh seafood and steaks at this upscale, trendy restaurant. This place comes highly recommended from our Provost!

This Mediterranean restaurant has a fun and casual atmosphere with great shawarma and hummus. I love coming here with a group of friends for a late lunch on the weekend.

Milkfloat is about seasonal flavors and baking fresh, a perfect cup of coffee or tea, a hand-mixed soda, and an old-fashioned milkshake. Another yummy place to have brunch, dessert, coffee and more! Funky decor and relaxed atmosphere, it's a great place to meet up with friends for casual conversation. - Jeanette
Gladspoon is new in Wichita and specializes in cookies, edible cookie dough and ice cream. Full of sweet treats. I haven't tried this one yet, but have heard great things. - Jeanette
Reverie is a popular coffee spot, but their coffee is served at local restaurants in the Wichita area. A great place to study, read or catch up with old friends. Yum. - Jeanette
This unique café features an ice cream menu, delicious waffles, burritos, and pastries, as well as fantastic coffee.
We'll be featuring these yummy donuts for a donut buffet for dessert the opening evening of conference. They have the most unique, fun, and delicious donuts in the city.

Tasty and fairly close to campus. Located in what we like to call 'restaurant row.' Steve says the tomatillo lime salsa is the best.
The BBQ is great, but Steve says to save room for the cheesecake. His birthday treat!
Great food, but also one of my favorite study spots. I love drinking their black iced tea and settling in for several hours to type papers and read. Invaluable while working on my Ph.D.! - Jeanette

Another Wichita original, it has expanded into a regional chain. Their mudslides are legendary as is their really wide variety of foods. There is a location in walking distance of campus.
